As we mentioned yesterday while showing you this magnificent picture
of six P1s at McLaren Newport Beach, these guys have sold more P1s than
an other representative of the brand anywhere in the world. This Fire
Black McLaren P1 is the latest they’ve shifted.
On the surface, this car looks like a
plain old black P1. But look closer and you will notice it has a unique
kind of glow not found on ordinary black paint jobs. That is because
Fire Black McLaren P1 benefits from a special paint formula containing
Green, Yellow, Orange, Red, and Magenta orbs that become visible under
direct light.
Fire Black McLaren P1 comes with a simple
black leather, Alcantara and carbon interior, and has exposed door
panels and skirts, as well as rear spoiler. But it does feature red
McLaren logos and P1 lettering on the side, which is a nice little touch
to make it even more unique. This car has found a home in Orange
County.
McLaren P1 Technical Highlights:

-Active ride height, and aerodynamics work with large adjustable rear wing to give ground effect suction and optimised downforce
-IPAS (Instant Power Assist System) and DRS (Drag Reduction System) offer instant boost of power and straight-line speed
-The MonoCage is one of the lightest carbon fibre full-body structures used in any road car to date, weighing 90kg. This weight includes the roof and lower structures, roof snorkel, engine air intake cavity, battery and power electronics housing
