A 1982 Lancia 037 Stradale is set to be auctioned off by RM Auctions at the firm’s Paris sales event on February 4. Pre-auction estimates suggest that it will fetch between 200,000 and 250,000 euros.
The road-going Lancia 037 Stradale was created after the FIA permitted entrants into the World Rally Championship to create road-legal variants of their racing cars. As a result, Lancia employed the help of Abarth and 207 examples of the Lancia 037 Stradale were created for road use.
This particular example has had a single owner since new and less than 14,000 km on the clock. It features a red paint scheme as well as a black interior with the original Pirelli Cinturato P7 tyres still fitted to the sports car.
Powering the 1982 Lancia 037 Stradale is a 2.0-litre, double overhead cam supercharged inline-four cylinder engine delivering 205 hp. This powertrain also utilises Bosch Kugelfisher fuel injection and has been mated to a five-speed manual transmission.
