Debuts at Chicago Auto Show
Chevrolet has introduced the Silverado Midnight Edition which will get its first public outing at the Chicago Auto Show.It was about two weeks ago when Chevrolet launched the Silverado Custom Sport special edition with body-colored bumpers and other similar visual tweaks and now they have prepared an all-black Silverado called "Midnight Edition." It starts life as a black Silverado Z71 but adds a black front fascia with body-colored grille, headlamp bezels, fog lamps and tow hooks while the side & beltline mouldings are also black.
The special edition rides on 18-inch black alloys wrapped around in Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac all-terrain tires while on the doors there are bespoke Z71 badges. Other enhancements include black front & rear Chevrolet bowties and a black spray-in bedliner.
It can be had in either 1500 double cab or crew cab versions and only up to 5,000 units are reserved for the 2015 model year. All vehicles are getting a locking rear differential, off-road suspension, trailering package and Hill Descent Control system while power-adjustable heated side mirrors and rear parking sensors are also part of the deal.
Depending on version, the Midnight Edition will add $1,595 - $1,995 to the price tag of a 1500 Z71 Silverado and interested buyers will be able to check it out starting February 14 at the Chicago Auto Show.
