With 2015 being the last year of production of the current Land Rover Defender, the British firm has revealed three special edition variants.
The first of the three is the Land Rover Defender Autobiography Edition and it is powered by a 2.2-litre diesel engine. In the existing Defender, this engine delivers 121 hp however that has been upped to 148 hp with torque also rising from 265 lb-ft to 295 lb-ft. Visually, the Autobiography Edition includes Santorini Black finished bodywork, bonnet, grille and headlight surrounds. Inside, windsor leather can be found. Just 80 examples of the Land Rover Defender Autobiography Edition will be produced with each destined for the UK.
The second special edition is the Land Rover Defender Heritage Edition. It is available in 90 Hard Top, 90 Station Wagon and 110 Station Wagon guises and is characterised predominantly by the Grasmere Green metallic paintwork. Additionally, it incorporates a white roof as well as a silver front bumper while in the cabin, aluminium accents can be found alongside HUE 166 graphics referencing the registration of the first Series 1 Land Rover. 400 examples of the Heritage Edition will be produced.
Last but not least is Land Rover Defender Adventure Edition. Just 600 units of the Adventure Edition will reach the market and it is available as the 90 Station Wagon or 110 Station Wagon. It can be finished in Phoenix Orange, Yulong White or Corris Grey and comes fitted with a roof rack, ladder and snorkel as it is the most off-road oriented of the trio.
