At the ongoing Detroit Motor Show 2015, the brand new 2015 Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS has been introduced. The car combines the open-air thrills provided by the Porsche 911 Targa 4 alongside the performance offered by the Porsche 911 GTS introduced late last year.
With that in mind, the 2015 Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS uses a 3.8-litre six-cylinder engine delivering a total of 430 hp. Consequently, the 911 Targa 4 GTS features a power-to-weight ratio of 3.6 kg per horsepower compared to 3.9 kg per horsepower of the S model. As a result, the 2015 Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS will hit 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds with the PDK transmission and top out at over 300 km/h. Despite the extra performance, the sports car returns the same fuel consumption figures of between 9.2 to 10.0 litres per 100 km.
As this is an all-wheel drive version, it features the Porsche 911’s flared wheel arches which are actually 22 mm wider than the two-wheel drive Porsche 911 Carrera models. Elsewhere, the Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS features 20-inch Turbo S centre-locking wheels finished in black. Smoked bi-xenon headlights have also been installed and feature the Porsche Dynamic Light System.
Inside, the car comes standard with the Sport Chrono package and also includes four-way adjustable Sport Plus seats with black alcantara featured throughout.
The Porsche 911 Targa 4 GTS will launch in Germany in mid-March and be priced from 137,422 euros
