Goes on sale later this week
Following an introduction last September, Jeep has announced the Grand Cherokee SRT Red Vapor Limited Edition costs £64,999 in UK.The special edition was showcased in public for the first time at last year's Paris Motor Show where it featured Black Vapor chrome five-spoke 20-inch alloy wheels, glossy black accents and a Metallic Red paint but Jeep is also offering Brilliant Black and Bright White hues. On the inside it gets Black Laguna leather for the steering wheel and gear knob along with a Radar Red suede upholstery with red stitching.
It comes with a generous list of standard equipment including a 19-speaker 825-watt Harman Kardon sound system, 8.4-inch Uconnect infotainment system with 3D navigation, Bluetooth audio streaming, voice recognition and hands free technology. It also benefits from several safety & assistance systems like adaptive cruise control, cross-path detection, blind spot monitoring, rear light bar and power tailgate.
At its heart is a HEMI V8 6.4-liter engine pushing out 461 bhp (344 kW) and 625 Nm (460 lb-ft) of torque sent to a Quadra-Trac four-wheel drive system through an eight-speed automatic gearbox. This hardware arrangement grants the Grand Cherokee SRT Red Vapor with a 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) run in 5 seconds and a 160 mph (257 km/h) top speed.
All cars get an active damping suspension, anti-lock SRT performance disc brakes, Fuel Saver technology and Active Noise Cancellation which "uses the audio system to counter any low frequency engine noises."
Jeep says the Grand Cherokee SRT Red Vapor Limited Edition will go on sale later this week from £64,999.
