A rare 1993 Bugatti EB110 GT is set to be auctioned off by RM Auctions at their Arizona event on Thursday, January 15. Pre-auction estimates suggest it could sell for between $575,000 and $775,000.
This particular Bugatti EB110 GT was just the sixth out of 139 produced and delivered to Japanese collector Yutaro Okamoto. Alongside being a single ownership model, this Bugatti EB110 GT has covered just 8000 km from new and is of course the predecessor to the mighty, world record holding Bugatti Veyron.
When this EB110 GT originally left the factory, it was painted in dark green with a grey leather interior. Soon after, Okamoto had the car taken back to Italy to partake in the Italian Bugatti rally in 1994 before the car was shipped back to its home in Japan. Sometime after, it was repainted in Bugatti racing blue while the dashboard and transmission tunnel were resurfaced in grey alcantara.
As a reminder, the Bugatti EB110 GT features a quad-turbocharged V12 engine delivering 550 hp. As a result, it can reach 100 km/h in around 3.5 seconds as well as a top speed of 343 km/h.
