This is the Fastest R8 Audi Has Ever Built
The Audi R8 is a fast car— let’s get that straight. But those wacky Germans decided to make its halo supercar even faster with a special Competition edition. It may not look overly flashy on the outside, but it’s what’s under the hood that really counts.
570-horses are available at your right foot. That 20 more than the standard V10 Plus. This extra power boost gives way to a quicker 0-60 mph time of just about 3.2 seconds, and a top speed of 199 mph. Not to mention carbon ceramic brakes and a seven-speed S tronic transmission (only).
Looks-wise, it does get slightly more appealing with matte black carbon fiber mirror caps, aero enhancements to the front, rear and side, and a new rear spoiler. Subtle, but handsome.
If you have the need for Audi speed, you can pick up one of these beauties when it goes on sale in November. But hurry, Audi is only building 60 for the U.S. market and we doubt they’ll be sticking around for too long.
