Dodge Viper Production to Restart in Mid-November
Production of the Dodge Viper SRT is set to recommence in mid-November since being stalled from July 3rd and having only operated for 10 days since April 14.
Earlier this year, Chrysler confirmed it would halt production of the Viper for two months. Just a few days after production restarted, production was once again paused and has been ever since. The key reason for Viper production kicking off again is due to increasing sales thanks to a recent $15,000 price cut offered for the Viper.
As a matter of fact, American dealerships managed to sell a total of 108 Vipers last month. By comparison, just 38 examples were sold in August.
Recently, Dodge introduced the 2015 Viper. Not only does it reintroduce the Dodge name, it also features a selection of updates and new variants. Approximately 200 orders for the 2015 Viper have been accepted but production of it won’t begin until the large inventory of unsold 2014 models find homes.
