Ford has announced it will travel to next month's SEMA show in Las
Vegas, Nevada, to introduce two concepts based on the all-new 2015
F-150.
The first concept is called Deegan 38. Designed with input from
Ford Racing's Brian Deegan, the concept stands out from a stock F-150
crew cab thanks to a sizable lift kit, two LED light bars up front,
underbody protection on both ends and a blacked-out paint job. The
concept rides on gloss black seven-spoke alloy wheels wrapped by
off-road-ready Mickey Thompson tires.
The second concept is
dubbed the Vaugh Gittin Jr. Street Truck. Penned with input from the
driver it is named after, the concept is also based on the F-150 crew
cab but it takes a different approach to customization. It is fitted
with an advanced air suspension system on both axles that provides an
impressive 12 inches of travel, making it possible to go from the dunes
to the track at the simple push of a button.
Neon green trim on the wheels, the door mirrors and the grille add a
finishing touch to exterior. Interior pictures are not available but
the Blue Oval promises the Street Truck offers space for up to five
passengers on Recaro bucket seats.
Ford hopes one of the trucks
will capture the show's coveted "Hottest Truck" award, a prize it has
won for four consecutive years.
Stay tuned to Leftlane for live images straight from the show floor in Sin City starting on November 4th.
