TORRANCE, California — The 2015 Toyota Highlander SUV starts at $30,300, including an $885 destination charge, reflecting a $200 price increase over the 2014 model, according to Toyota Motor Sales U.S.A.

Toyota's top-of-the line Highlander Limited Platinum model starts at $44,675, including shipping.
This is a carryover model with minimal changes. An optional Driver Easy Speak System carries the driver's voice through the audio system's rear speakers in order for a parent to be heard without shouting.
The Highlander, which seats up to eight, is available in three powertrains. The LE front-wheel-drive model comes with a 185-horsepower 2.7-liter four-cylinder engine linked to a six-speed automatic transmission. All other grades come with a 3.5-liter V6 engine that generates 270 hp. The hybrid model delivers 280 total hp.
