Sporting the most powerful five-cylinder engine in RS history, the RS3 Sportback will be equipped with a 2.5-liter TFSI engine producing 367 hp and 343 lb-ft of torque, allowing it to accelerate from 0-62 mph in 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 174 mph.
Mated to the 2.5-liter five-cylinder turbocharged engine is a seven-speed transmission that Audi says “shifts even faster than in the previous model.” Naturally as an RS model, the RS3 Sportback comes with Quattro all-wheel drive
Compared to the standard Audi A3 Sportback, the RS3 Sportback sits an inch closer to the ground, has progressive steering, an RS-specific sport suspension and optional Audi magnetic ride adaptive damper control. Located behind the front 19-inch wheels can be the optional carbon fiber ceramic brake discs, which is a first in the premium compact segment. The front brakes are paired to eight-piston calipers which will help the 3,350-lb hot hatch stop on a dime.
It still isn’t confirmed if Audi will bring the RS3 to the U.S., but if it does, it’ll be in the form of a traditional sedan rather than a five-door hatchback.

The new Audi RS 3 Sportback features the latest generation of our 2.5 liter, five‑cylinder engine – the most powerful production engine in the modular transverse matrix.”
