"I don't have any cash, but I do have the pink slip to my car."
This is not a replica. It
is the original stunt model used for the original "The Fast and the
Furious" back in 2001. And yes, it was Paul Walker’s character’s car.
Not only was it used throughout the entire movie, but this was also the
exact model used in the final racing scene between Dom and Brian. And
now it can be yours as it’ll be hitting the auction block next month at
Mecum Auction’s 28th Original Spring Classic 2015.
The car was built by Eddie Paul at The Shark Shop in
El Segundo, California, and still has all of the original accessories,
including a Bomex body kit, NOS/Holley Performance nitrous oxide bottles
(which aren’t attached), a roll cage, stunt suspension, Sparco steering
wheel, Yokohama tires, Auto Meter speedometer, tachometer, oil, water,
and voltage gauges, and much more. Power comes from a 3.0-liter
inline-six rated at 220 hp, which is paired to a five-speed manual
transmission. It also comes with the Redline car key list with serial
numbers of cars used in the movie. No price has been listed but we’re
guessing it won’t be cheap. Photos courtesy of Dupont Registry.
