Available as a package for SL400 & SL500
Mercedes-Benz has revealed the SL-Class 417 Mille Miglia set to make its public debut at next month's Geneva Motor Show.Back in 1995, the SL320 and SL500 models of the R129 generation received a Mille Miglia special edition and now the latest SL400 and SL500 are getting the same treatment to celebrate 60 years since an SL with the race number 417 won in its class at Mille Miglia while Stirling Moss took the overall win in the Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR.
The "417 Mille Miglia" will be available as a package limited to 500 units bringing a variety of cosmetic tweaks such as red accents on the front spoiler lip, rear apron, brake calipers and also on the 19-inch front & 20-inch rear alloys. Several red and matte carbon accents can also be noticed on the interior cabin where the headrests contain the "Mille Miglia 417" lettering.
It costs €14,000 on the SL400 which boasts a V6 twin-turbo 3.0-liter engine developing 333 HP (245 kW) and €12,800 on the SL500 powered by a V8 twin-turbo 4.6-liter rated at 435 HP (320 kW). Regardless of engine choice, both SL 417 Mille Miglia models come as standard with adaptive dampers while the Active Body Control (ABC) system is available at an additional cost.
The Mercedes-Benz SL-Class 417 Mille Miglia will be officially introduced at the Geneva Motor Show early March.
