It won't be cheap, but it will be badass.
We don't actually know
what the newly reformed Jensen will be doing with its latest version of
the Interceptor, which will be called the Interceptor 2. But what we do
have information about is the car that the company will build first,
which will be known as the GT. The car will be powered by a GM-sourced
6.4-liter supercharged V8 producing 665 horsepower. This will propel a
classically-shaped but still very modern design for the body.
Aluminum
and carbon fiber will be used extensively in the construction, and the
19-inch wheels which you can see in the pictures are forged aluminum.
The GT is only going to be built in small quantities, but it's also
really only a stopgap before we get the new Interceptor 2 next year.
Jensen has said so itself, in a statement saying the GT “fills the gap
between the last true Jensen, the Interceptor of 1976, and the all-new,
state-of-the-art car." It will actually share some components with the
Jensen S-V8 of 2001, the last car to wear a Jensen badge, but the
Interceptor 2 will be completely new.
