Goes on sale this spring
Ford has announced the final performance specifications for the 2015 Edge Sport.While the company previously said the crossover would produce more than 300 bhp (224 kW), Ford has just confirmed the 2.7-liter EcoBoost V6 engine will develop 315 bhp (235 kW) and 350 lb-ft (474 Nm) of torque. The automaker also revealed the model will have an EPA-estimated fuel economy rating of 18 mpg city / 27 mpg highway / 21 mpg combined with front-wheel drive and 17 mpg city / 24 mpg highway / 20 mpg combined with all-wheel drive.
As a refresher, the Edge Sport features a sportier styling and a sport-tuned suspension with beefier anti-roll bars, stiffer springs and unique rear dampers. The model also rides on 20-inch polished aluminum wheels with magnetic low-gloss painted pockets.
The sporty styling continues in the cabin as there's perforated leather / suede sport seats, aluminum pedal caps and faux carbon fiber trim. Other notable highlights include ambient lighting, a Sony audio system and an infotainment system with an 8-inch display.
The 2015 Ford Edge Sport will go on sale this spring and pricing starts at $38,100.
