Goes on sale next month
Hyundai has introduced the 2016 Elantra GT at the Chicago Auto Show.Designed to stand out from the crowd, the updated model has a new grille and restyled 17-inch alloy wheels.
The interior largely carries over but there's newly optional ventilated front seats which are a class exclusive. The model also gains an improved infotainment system with HD Radio and Siri integration. There's also an optional Blue Link system with new connectivity features such as Remote Start with Climate Control and Destination Search by Google.
Power is provided by a 2.0-liter four-cylinder that produces 173 bhp (129 kW) and 154 lb-ft (208 Nm) of torque. It can be connected to either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic transmission with SHIFTRONIC manual shift controls.
The 2016 Elantra GT will go on sale in the United States next month and pricing starts at $18,800 (excluding an $825 destination charge).
