According to fresh reports, a high-performance sports GT concept car is set to be unveiled by Bentley at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show 2015.
It is believed that the car is being created to gauge the reaction from potential customers and the public in a similar vein to the Bentley EXP 9 F Concept from Geneva 2012. The British marque is reportedly envisioning the new sports GT car to sit alongside the Bentley Continental GT in its line-up while providing more sporty attributes.
For starters, it is reported that the Bentley concept in question will feature the same Audi-sourced 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine available across the Bentley line-up delivering around 500 hp. If the car is given the green light for production however, there’s a potential it could be offered with a number of different engines and in its highest-spec, should achieve a top speed nudging 320 km/h (200 mph).
The Bentley sports GT concept will be designed at the firm’s studio in Crewe and while the concept is unlikely to ride on a production-spec platform, the road-going model if given the thumbs up for production, could use the Volkswagen Group’s MSB flexible architecture.
