The long awaited Pagani Huayra BC
goes official as the Argentinian/Italian automaker releases the first
pictures and details of the new hyper car. It’s not a track car. It’s
not open-top. It’s a Huayra with an ugly body kit and around seventy
extra horses under the bonnet.
Pagani Huayra BC (Benny Caiola) boasts a
new aerodynamic kit which not only enhances the way it cuts through the
air and generates tons of downforce, it also contributes to the 123 kg
weight saving the BC benefits form compared to the normal Huayra since
it’s made from a special type of carbon fiber. The car comes with
lightweight APP wheels and titanium exhausts, plus lightweight
suspension parts.
As for the powertarin, the BC has the
same 6.0-liter V12 bi turbo as the regular model, but here it’s tuned to
develop 789 horsepower which is very nearly 800, or 70 more than what
you get from the standard version. The engine is hooked to a new Xtrac
seven-speed automated manual transmission which is lighter and faster
and results in better performance. So in a way, Pagani Huayra BC could
be considered the track version of the existing model.
If you don’t like they way Pagani Huayra
BC looks… well, it doesn’t really matter because you can’t get one
anyway. The production is apparently limited to 20 units and all of them
have been pre-sold for 2.3 million EUR apiece.
