Just in time for the Geneva Motor Show Bentley revealed a new face-lifted version of its Mulsanne flagship saloon. Boasting new looks, technologies and features, the 2017 Bentley Mulsanne facelift is out for Maybach blood.
The new super deluxe super saloon
launches in three guises of Mulsanne, Mulsanne Speed and Mulsanne
Extended Wheelbase models. They all share the same 6¾-litre V8 engine
with 512 PS (505 bhp / 377 kW) and 1,020 Nm (752 lb.ft) of torque which
now has cylinder de-activation and variable cam phasing, but still not
what you call efficient. Performance figures for this engine include 5.1
seconds to 60 mph and a top speed of 184 mph (296 km/h), except for the
537 PS Speed version which takes 4.8 seconds to reach 60 and can hit
190 mph.
As for the looks, the 2017 Bentley
Mulsanne gets a complete makeover with new fenders, bonnet, radiator
shell, grilles, lights and front and rear bumpers. Just like the old
model, it’s hardly a beautiful look, but it has presence like nothing
else. Inside the cabin the new stuff include redesigned seats, new door
trims and armrests, unique glass switchgear and an industry-leading
palette of 24 exquisite hide colours, in addition to the existing
handcrafted wood, leather and metal fittings.
It may look somewhat retro, but 2017
Bentley Mulsanne packs a lot of technology features, such as a
completely new infotainment system and navigation with an 8” display and
60GB hard drive, Blind Spot Warning system, Advanced Automatic
Stability Control, Android tablets for the rear passenger, Airline seats
in the long wheelbase models, air suspension system with Continuous
Damping Control (CDC), and…
