Jaguar
has opened the order books for the new ultra high performance variant
of the F-Type sports car ahead of the car’s debut at the Geneva Motor
Show and its market launch this summer. The 2017 Jaguar F-Type SVR is priced at £110,000 for the Coupe and £115,485 for the Convertible.
You are probably familiar with the specs
and details of Jaguar F-Type SVR, but let’s go over them one more time
real quick. The SVR gets a 575PS and 700Nm version of the firm’s
supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine which enables the hard-core sports car
to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph 3.5 seconds and reach a top speed of 200
mph. The Convertible is a tad slower, but still seriously fast for a
such gorgeous drop-top.
It is going to be easy telling Jaguar
F-Type SVR apart from the other variants of the car – and there’s a lot
of them – thanks mainly to a bespoke aero kit consisting of front bumper
and splitter, flat underfloor, carbon fibre active rear wing and rear
venturi reduces lift and drag. The car also comes with 20-inch forged
wheels and Titanium and Inconel exhaust system.
Other highlights include new dampers and
anti-roll bars, wider tyres, SVR-tuned Quickshift transmission and the
Electric Power-Assisted Steering, Adaptive Dynamics, Torque Vectoring,
Dynamic Stability Control and All-Wheel Drive systems, Carbon Ceramic
Matrix (CCM) brakes, and unique SVR interior.
