Ssangyong reveals 2016 Turismo with new diesel engine

Ssangyong has introduced the 2016 Turismo model that will be offered to customers with a starting price of £18,995.
Offering transport for “seven adults in comfort together with their luggage”, the car is over five meters long and features a 2+3+2 seat configuration in the interior. The cargo area gives a massive load carrying capability of between 875 liters with seven seats to two seats and 3,146 liters.
For 2016 MY the Turismo is getting a new 2.2-liter Euro 6 diesel engine that delivers 178 HP (131 kW) and 400 Nm (295 lb-ft) of torque between 1,400 rpm and 2,800 rpm. CO2 emissions stand at 189 g/km, down from 199 g/km on the previous 4x2 manual transmission model, while fuel economy is also improved and now up to 39.2 mpg (combined) compared to 37.2 mpg over the model it replaces.
Also new for the model is a Mercedes-Benz-sourced 7-speed automatic gearbox that will be optionally available. As standard customers will get a 6-speed manual gearbox and rear-wheel drive, while the top of the range ELX variant also includes selectable 4x4 with low ratio as standard.
Prices for the revised Turismo start at £18,995 for the base SE grade and go up to £24,995 for the ELX 4x4 automatic version.
