Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD Kid Rock concept pays tribute to the American worker

Chevrolet Silverado 3500 HD Kid Rock concept pays tribute to the American worker

Chevrolet has teamed up with Kid Rock to create a customized 2016 Silverado 3500 HD that "celebrates freedom and honors American workers."
Bound to draw attention, the one-off truck has an imposing appearance as it features a custom chrome grille with "Born Free" lettering and enlarged Chevrolet bowtie emblems.  The truck also has patriotic graphics, massive chrome exhaust stacks and custom 22-inch chrome wheels.  There's also chrome side steps, tinted windows and a spray-in bedliner.
Since the truck is all about freedom and enjoyment, it is connected to a trailer that tows two Gibbs Sports Quadskis which convert from all-terrain vehicles to personal watercrafts.
Chevrolet hasn't released interior photos but the company said the concept has bespoke Sky Cool Gray leather seats with special inserts that are patterned after acid-wash jeans.  The truck also has a "blacked-out instrument panel," "Made in Detroit" sill plates and a custom Kicker audio system.
Power is provided by a 6.6-liter Duramax turbodiesel engine that is connected to an Allison 1000 six-speed automatic transmission and a four-wheel drive system.
According to Kid Rock, "Visiting the Silverado factory was one of the coolest and most meaningful things I’ve done. This truck is all about celebrating the people who build it and the freedom it enables.”
