Turns out the picture we showed you as what the highly anticipated Lamborghini Centenario
may look like was almost the real deal. The real thing is utterly
insane, but that’s OK, because it’s never about the looks with limited
edition Lamborghinis.
No, it’s about the very fact that they
are limited edition Lamborghinis. That is enough of a reason for some
people to blow an insane amount of money on these cars. In the case of
Lamborghini Centenario that money is 1.9 million USD or 1.75 million
EUR. But since they are only making 40 copies and most of them are
probably already spoken for, rest assured you’re going to have to pay a
lot more to get one.
Celebrating the 100th birthday of company
founder Ferruccio Lamborghini, Lamborghini Centenario is a lighter,
more powerful version of the Aventador SV with a bespoke body. The hyper
car tips the scale at 1,520 kilograms thanks to extensive use of carbon
fiber, and it boasts a 770 horsepower version of Lambo’s V12 engine
which enables a 0 to 100 km/h time of 2.8 seconds and top speed of 350
km/h. The Centenario also comes with a new rear-wheel steering system.
Other notable features of the Centenario
include a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system, a telemetry system
featuring two cameras, and built-in space for two helmets in the luggage
area. Don’t think you’re going to get vertical take-off just because it
 costs nearly two million dollars!
