Hyper-Rare Lamborghini Veneno Up for Sale for $11.1 Million

With the recent debut of the Lamborghini Centenario, you are probably in the process of organizing your finances to park one of your own under your carport. Well, unfortunately, there were only 20 coupes and 20 roadsters made available for sale, and they were snapped up before the car ever made its public debut. If you still have a hankering for a hyper-limited Lambo, though, we’ve got great news.
Through a German website and a Japanese broker, a, ultra-rare Lamborghini Veneno is up for grabs. How rare? Well, only five rolled out of the factory, and of those five, only three were made available for purchase. To get your hands on one of the cars from new, you had to fork over roughly $4.5 million. Now, with the collector car market the way that it is, the Veneno up for sale wears a slightly heavier price tag.

For $11.1 million, this particular Veneno is the most expensive post-2000 supercar ever offered for sale. Even the mighty Ferrari Enzo “only” brings home around $6 million at auction, and the ultra-cool Carrera GT usually sees a hammerfall of just under $1 million. Even a similarly limited-edition 2008 Lamborghini Reventon fell very short of the Veneno’s price tag, with a recent sale price of $1.375 million.
You are getting quite a lot of car for the money, however. Underneath the sci-fi exterior lies the bones of a Lamborghini Aventador. A 6.5-liter V-12 engine sends 740 hp to all four wheels through a seven-speed transmission, resulting in a 0-60-mph time of just under three seconds, and a top speed north of 220 mph.
