Ford Focus RS off to a strong start, company has 1,500 orders in the UK

The Ford Focus RS won't arrive in the United Kingdom until the spring but that hasn't stopped the model from becoming an early success.
According to Ford, the company received 500 orders for the hot hatch before prices and specifications were announced at the Frankfurt Show Motor.  Since then, the company has managed to rack up another 1,000 orders in the United Kingdom.
As a refresher, the model is priced from £28,940 and features a 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder engine that develops 350 PS (257 kW) and 440 Nm (324 lb-ft) of torque - 470 Nm (347 lb-ft) with overboost. Thanks to all-wheel drive and a launch control system, the model can accelerate from 0-62 mph in just 4.7 seconds.
