Limited to 1,600 units
Mitsubishi Motors North America is sending off the Lancer
Evolution with a limited-run "Final Edition" for the 2015 model year.
It serves as a last hurrah for the most powerful
mass-production Lancer Evolution ever made and only 1,600 units are planned to
exit the assembly line. All of them will benefit from "Final Edition" badging,
black aluminum roof and a glossy black look for the center bumper and the hood
air outlet while a dark chrome theme has been applied onto the front grille surround
and the Enkei alloys.
The vehicle comes generously equipped as standard with
bi-xenon HID headlights (with leveling control) and several interior tweaks like
red stitching, glossy black center console with individually numbered plaque,
along with black pillars, sun visors, handles and headliner. As a final touch,
there's a special "Final Edition" animation on the meter display.
Power comes from the familiar inline-four, 16-valve
2.0-liter turbocharged and intercooled engine pushing out 303 bhp (226 kW) and
305 lb-ft (413 Nm) of torque working together with the proprietary Super All
Wheel control. It also gets Brembo two-piece front rotors, Eibach springs and
Bilstein shock absorbers.
On the safety side, Mitsubishi has fitted the Lancer
Evolution Final Edition with seven airbags, active stability control (with
traction control logic), ABS with EBD, along with a tire pressure monitoring
system and the engine immobilizer anti-theft security alarm system.
Customers will have the possibility of ordering this car
with a New Pearl White, Octane Blue, Rally Red or Mercury Gray exterior
paint scheme.
