Alpina Shows Off Popular Models At 2015 Tokyo Motor Show

Bavarian automotive manufacturer Alpina pulled out all the stops during this year's Tokyo Motor Show, putting some of their most important models on display.
It all starts with the 410 PS B3 BiTurbo sedan and the 600 PS B6 BiTurbo Cabrio Edition 50, which are making their Asian debuts, and world debuts respectively. The B3 BiTurbo features a 3.0-liter straight six bi-turbo engine, good for not just 410 PS but also 600 Nm (443 lb-ft) of torque.
The more powerful B6 Edition 50 model has 600 PS, 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) of torque and is available in Cabriolet form. In a straight line, it can achieve a top speed of 330 km/h (205 mph) and hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.2 seconds, compared to the all-wheel driven B6 BiTurbo Gran Coupe's 3.8 seconds.
The B3 BiTurbo itself is capable of hitting the 100 km/h mark in 4.3 seconds, before maxing out at 303 km/h (188 mph) - comparable to the BMW M3 in terms of sprint time.
Alpina also brought a couple of other models, such as the B6 BiTurbo Gran Coupe xDrive, D4 BiTurbo, D5 BiTurbo and the XD3 BiTurbo. The latter is of course their BMW X3-based compact SUV, able to hit 100 km/h in just 4.9 seconds thanks to its 350 PS engine.
One major absentee from the line up was the Alpina B7 BiTurbo flagship model, which is believed to be arriving next year. It would have been nice however to see the current model as well, since it also happens to be a serious performer.
The current-generation Alpina B7 BiTurbo features a 4.4 liter twin-turbocharged V8 engine, rocking 540 PS and 730 Nm (538 lb-ft) of torque. Subsequently it will hit 100 km/h (62 mph) in just 4.5 seconds while maxing out at a highly impressive 312 km/h (193 mph).
