2016 Cadillac CT6
2016 Cadillac CT6 launching next March from $53,495
Cadillac will launch the 2016 CT6 flagship sedan March next year at a starting price of $53,495.After making its debut earlier this year at the New York Auto Show, the Cadillac CT6 will enter production in January at the Detroit-Hamtramck assembly plant and will be available on order two months later with a choice of three powertrains: 265 bhp 2.0-liter turbo from $53,495, 335 bhp 3.6-liter V6 with AWD from $55,495 and a 400 bhp 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with AWD from $64,395.
Later on, a plug-in hybrid will join the range with a combined output of 335 bhp (250 kW) and 432 lb-ft (586 Nm) of torque coming from a 2.0-liter 4-cylinder turbo and dual electric motors. Cadillac says work on the hybrid powertrain has not been finalized just yet, so it will be a while until this more frugal version will be out.
The Cadillac Touring 6 (CT6) sedan is already available on order, but you won’t be able to take the first production car as this was auctioned back in April to benefit the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute. The most expensive version money can buy is the CT6 Platinum model which begins at $83,465, excluding the $995 for the usual DPH fees and any other optional goodies available such as the 34-speaker Bose Panaray sound system which is being billed as the “most advanced and highest-performing automotive sound system.”
