2015 Audi Q7 3.0 TFSI travels to Doha for an excellent photo session
After sending us some lovely pics with a second-gen R8 V10 Plus Mythos Black, Auditography has now shared several photos of a brand new Q7 3.0 TFSI.Let’s face it. The first-generation Q7 wasn’t exactly an attractive SUV, but at least it had a somewhat distinctive design compared to the other Audis of its times. We can’t say the same thing about the second generation as we understand why some people are criticizing Audi for making the new Q7 look like a beefier allroad quattro model.
Seen here is the all-new Q7 striking a pose in Doha, Qatar in the less popular 3.0 TFSI specification and with the optional 20-inch wheels, Tofana White paint, and LED headlights. You won’t find the gasoline engine on a lot of Euro-spec Q7s since the TDI will definitely be the top choice on the old continent. However, the new SUV from Ingolstadt has lost a lot of weight (up to 325 kg), so the TFSI might not be a bad choice after all.
With 333 PS (245 kW) and 440 Nm (324.5 lb-ft) on tap, the gasoline-powered Q7 runs the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) task in a more than decent 6.1 seconds and will do 155 mph (250 km/h). Fuel economy is not half bad either as Audi says it consumes 7.7 liters / 100 km (30.5 mpg US) and emits 179 g/km of CO2. However, the ongoing scandal at VAG has showed these figures are far from being accurate, even for gasoline engines.
