McLaren
Automotive announced the launch of a new version of the 650S. Going on
sale from December, the 2016 McLaren 650S is pricier than the 2015
modelyear, but it comes with more standard equipment and gets new colors
as well.
The biggest highlight of the 2016 McLaren
650S is the addition of the carbon fiber aero kit to the list of
standard features. Formerly a 22 grand optional extra, the package
consists of a front splitter, side skirts, side vents, rear diffuser,
and mirror caps, and it has a huge impact on the way the car looks if
left exposed.
There are no performance upgrades to talk
about for the new 650S, except a couple of new features that could
potentially enhance the performance is used properly. First we have the
optional, track-spec Pirelli P Zero Trofeo R tires with extra grip, and
there is also the Track Telemetry App that monitors your performance
around the race track.
Priced from $271,900 for the Coupe and
$286,900 for the Spider, 2016 McLaren 650S will hit the showrooms
towards the end of the year.
