Normally
we would rather do our taxes than talk about a ‘global’ economy car
like Nissan Tiida. But the latest version of this global model the
Japanese have unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show seems to be a clever,
efficient and well-equipped car, and those are qualities we really
appreciate in a cheap car.
Granted, design-wise the new Nissan Tiida
is still not what you call exciting. But you wouldn’t care about that
when you realize what sort of kit the little hatchback comes with. It
boasts Intelligent Driving features such as Forward Emergency Braking
(FEB), Lane Departure Warning (LDW) and Blind Spot Warning (BSW), a
7-inch infotainment system, and a really good powertrain.
The new Nissan Tiida with its
V-Motion grille and streamlined body offers more space and a more
comfortable ride than its main rivals, and top of all this it packs a
1.6L HR16DE engine with Intelligent Start and Stop system and an
improved Xtronic CVT. The smooth powertrain is above all super
efficient, with an average fuel consumption of 5.3L/100km. You know what this car is? It’s just value for money on wheels. Too bad it’s not offered in all markets.
