After
the DS 5 hatchback, DS 5 LS sedan and DS 6 SUV, Citroen is treating its
Chinese customer to yet another one of their charming and eccentric DS
products. This one is called Citroen DS 4S, and it boasts the usual
blend of style, premium features, and more style we’re used from the
French car maker’s DS brand.
The “dynamically practical” Citroen DS 4S
launches with six exclusive colors, including Dark Fire red
(exclusive), Silver Grey, Pearl White, Hickory Brown, Black Perla and
Whisper. Distinctive design elements setting this model apart include
the signature ‘DS Wings’
grille and DS LED Vision headlights for that unique and unmistakable
look. It’s a good job the front-end is busy like this, because the sides
and back are really rather bland.
As for the engines, Citroen DS 4S offers a
choice of three powertrains, including PureTech 130, THP 160 and THP
200, each developing the exact number in its name and mated to the EAT6
automatic gearbox. Luxury-wise, the DS 4S comes in five trim levels of
Comfort, Fashion, Luxury, Luxury Technology and Prestige,
with features such as high-grade leather upholstery and interior panel
covers, ‘watchstrap-style’ upholstery on the seats, and DS CONNECT
technology with navigation, safety and communication functions.
