Surprised? All 32 Ferrari FXX Ks Sold Out Despite $2.7 Million Price Tag

As it usually happens with all rare Ferraris, if you’re planning on buying one after the official launch event you’re too late. Ferrari is going to build 32 FXX K laboratory cars and they’re all sold out.

I know the term sold out does not accurately describe the action of selling a car without actually handing it over to the buyer, but I can’t think of better words to describe it since the transaction still involves a (hefty) exchange of money. Road & Track reports that the FXX K costs $2.7 million (€2.18 million) and that all 32 units are already spoken for.

Compared to the LaFerrari road car it’s based on, the 1,050PS FXX K experimental car costs $700k more – and you don’t even get to park it in your garage! Not to mention that you can only drive it when Ferrari wants you to - at special track events, that is.

It must be a blast to drive though, since its hybrid powertrain produces 87PS more than on the LaFerrari and its aerodynamic package is at least as carefully shaped as a Formula 1 car’s. It’s even 50PS more powerful than the closest thing to it at the moment, the McLaren P1 GTR.
