2015 Mustang Shelby GT Spotted in the Wild

A completely undisguised version of the 2015 Mustang Shelby GT by Shelby American was recently spotted in Palm Springs, hanging out around the parking lot at a Ducati press event. The beefed-up Shelby ‘Stang comes with a whole host of extras and looks damn seroius.

Official details on the new Shelby GT are scarce, but what we can see in the picture hints at a heavily revised Mustang GT featuring a massive body kit, lowered suspension, larger wheels and possibly brakes, custom interior, and a unique paint job with the all-important Shelby stripes.

At the front of the car you notice a carbon fiber spoiler lip, chrome mesh grilles, and a huge new hood with air ducts. Down the sides of the vehicle there are chunky new side skirts, and around at the back you see a carbon boot lid spoiler and a brand new diffuser.

As for the performance, that massive bulge on the bonnet suggests the 5.0 liter GT V8 engine in this car features a supercharger. An educated guess, taking into account the previous Shelby GT models, would put the power output of the new model somewhere above the 700 horsepower mark.
