Volkswagen Touareg V8 4.2 TDI facelift by JE DESIGN
Gets 410 PS
JE DESIGN is introducing an upgrade package developed for
the Volkswagen
Touareg facelift equipped with the V8 4.2 TDI engine.
They worked on the R-Line version and created a full aerodynamic
body kit starting at the front with a new radiator grille and spoiler. Also noticeable
are the more pronounced wheel arch flares and a roof-mounted spoiler while a
subtle diffuser rounds off the exterior changes. The entire body kit can be had
for €4,760, but customers have the possibility of ordering the desired pieces
individually.
Extra attention was given to the V8 4.2 TDI engine which in
standard configuration generates 340 PS (250 kW) and 800 Nm (591 lb-ft) of
torque, but after JE DESIGN worked its magic they managed to bump output to 410
PS (302 kW) and 930 Nm (687 lb-ft). The added oomph costs €2,399 and comes with
a two-year warranty on the engine and eight-speed tiptronic gearbox.
Once the power module is applied, the VW Touareg V8 4.2 TDI
will sprint to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 5.4 seconds, making it 0.4s quicker than
the standard model. There's no word about the top speed, but most likely it has
increased a little bit from the series 150 mph (242 km/h).
JE DESIGN is offering additional goodies such as an
electronic lowering module, spacer plates, 22-inch alloys, quad stainless steel
exhaust system along with some interior cabin enhancements such as brushed
stainless still door sill panels with the company’s logo illuminated in blue.
