0-100 km/h takes 8.5 seconds

Opel has taken the wraps off the Adam Rocks S ahead of a world premiere set for International Amsterdam Motorshow next week.
It was October 2014 at the Paris Motor Show where Opel unveiled the hot Adam S and now time has come for its fairly more rugged sibling called Adam Rocks to benefit from the same S treatment. Described as being "anything but cute", the petite crossover adopts the same four-cylinder, 1.4-liter ECOTEC turbocharged gasoline engine producing 150 HP (110 kW) and 220 Nm (162 lb-ft) of torque.
It needs 8.5 seconds to conquer the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint and will top out at 130 mph (210 km/h). The engine sends power to the wheels through a short-ratio 6-speed manual gearbox which enables the Adam Rocks S to get from 50 mph (80 km/h) to 75 mph (120 km/h) in fifth gear in 7.9 seconds.
Opel says its hot mini-crossover will consume just 5.9 liters / 100 km (39.8 mpg US or 47.8 mpg UK) with CO2 emissions standing at 139 g/km. Compared to the regular Adam Rocks, the S version sits 15mm lower and benefits from an uprated braking system and the possibility of turning off ESP. It comes as standard with an electrically-operated canvas roof available in 5 hues and can be had with one of the 11 body paints available.
The Opel Adam Rocks S will premiere on April 17 in The Netherlands during the International Amsterdam Motorshow (AutoRAI).
