Malaysian manufacturer Proton has introduced a new pickup truck concept during the Alami Proton Carnival 2015.
Showcased at the company’s Center of Excellence, the concept looks surprisingly good featuring a bold front end dominated by a central chrome rail where the headlights are mounted. Probably you’ll notice some influences from the Ford F-150 Raptor and other models in this segment, but the study surely has its own style and appearance.
Interestingly, the pickup is based on the platform of the Proton Exora, a compact family van, which means it’s not using the traditional ladder frame found in most of the pickup trucks.

The Malaysian company still hasn’t confirmed whether the pickup will receive the green light for production or will remain only a design exercise.
