Care For A 10k Mile 1987 BMW M6?

If you're a firm believer in the saying "they don't make them like they used to" or a collector who thinks that classic BMW Ms are the next Porsche 911 Turbos in the used car market, then read on.
A barely used U.S.-specification 1987 BMW M6 with just 10,820 miles (17,409 km) on the odometer has been listed for sale on eBay by Autosport Designs, but if you're really interested, be prepared for a sticker shock: this pampered Bimmer has an asking price of $107,500 - or just shy of a brand new M6's MSRP of $112,400.
Whether the seller will get close to the asking price is debatable, but the car itself is beautiful, finished in a Royal Blue metallic on the outside and a two-tone, Natur Nappa and dark brown leather interior on the inside.
The E24's description mentions: "This M6 Coupe has previously been owned by an enthusiast/collector and has been well kept and cared to date. The cosmoline has not even burned off portions of the engine. It has been serviced when and where needed regardless of mileage. This M6 is as close to new as they come."
The North American M6 had BMW's catalyst-equipped S38 3.5-liter straight-six (offered optionally in certain European markets after late 1986) with 256hp paired to a 5-speed manual. In Europe, the same model was called the M635CSi and had the non-catalyst M88 delivering 282hp (286PS). BMW sold 1,767 M6s in the USA and Canada from late 1986 through late 1988.
