Refreshed BMW 6-Series Priced And Detailed In The UK

BMW updated its 6 Series with subtle cosmetic changes and small powertrains tweaks across its range.
The visual changes are really small, given that the last generation 6 Series didn’t really need an overhaul to remain relevant, and these are concentrated on the front and rear, with revised LED lights, a nine-bar grille instead of ten, redesigned bumpers, larger tailpipes, five new metallic paint finishes and of course newly designed alloys of up to 20 inches in diameter.
The dashboard now features as standard leather upholstery with contrast stitching to enhance the perceived quality and luxury while all the non M-cars now have a fully configurable digital instrument panel.
All the engines are now EU6 compliant, tweaked to emit less CO2 with the 313hp 640d Coupe managing an impressive 139g/km. The 450hp V8 650i models are still the fastest -bar M6- you can buy, with 0-60mph in just 4.6 seconds (0.3 seconds faster than before) and an electronically limited 155mph top speed.
All petrol models now come with a new sports exhaust which can be tuned by the flick of a button which according to BMW “adds a more intense timbre to the engine soundtrack”.
BMW is now offering its ConnectedDrive as standard, with a built-in sim card allowing to the driver access to Concierge Services, which include information like real-time traffic, BMW’s Teleservices, Intelligent Emergency Call and several other.
Prices start for the UK market at £59,430 for the 640i Coupe/Gran Coupe while the 650i Coupe/Gran Coupe starts at £69,790. The 560hp M6 begins at £92,350 for the Coupe model.
