Alongside the Volkswagen Golf GTI Dark Shine created by the German marque’s apprentices for Worthersee 2015, the team created the bespoke Golf Variant Biturbo Edition.
Powering the Volkswagen Golf Variant Biturbo Edition is a 2.0-litre diesel engine featuring two turbochargers. Consequently, it delivers a total of 240 hp and 500 Nm of torque and was borrowed straight from the new Passat Variant 2.0 TDI 4Motion. The Golf Variant Biturbo Edition represents the first time this engine has been installed in a Golf.
Beyond its engine, the car features a sleek light blue paint scheme incorporating black racing stripes and black vinyl on the sides. It also includes black window frames, roof rails and gloss black wing mirrors. Completing the exterior modifications are a set of custom silver wheels and bright blue brake calipers to match the exterior paint. Inside the car features a selection of blue and black elements.
After Worthersee, it will be displayed at other events including the opening of a special exhibition at the August Horch Museum.
