Only 20 cars will be made
Miami-based Gullwing America (GWA) has sent us details and
images concerning their most recent project, a tribute to the Studebaker.
The 1954 Studebaker managed to grab 20 wins at the Carrera
Panamericana race and 9 of them were consecutive (1993 to 2001). To celebrate
this achievement, GWA has decided to pay tribute to the vehicle by developing
the Studebaker Veinte Victorias (meaning "20 wins") which will be limited to only 20
cars. 19 of them will wear a yellow livery while the remaining unit is going to
have a black hue to serve as a pace car.
The classic body has a modern touch while underneath the
skin resides a V8 6.2-liter LS9 supercharged engine developing 620 bhp (462 kW)
sent to the wheels through a 6-speed manual transmission. The Studebaker Veinte
Victorias benefits from a reinforced tubular chassis and has received Brembo
HPK brakes stopping the GWA-developed 19-inch wheels shod in Bridgestone tires.
Gullwing America says the vehicle will feature a special suspension and will
come an exhaust system manufactured by Fabspeed.
Details about pricing are not available at this point, but
will be released in the future.
