A stunning piece of work that's two years in the making.
Around a century ago,
India’s princes and maharajas began what is now regarded as one of the
world’s longest relationships with a single carmaker. Known as the
Golden Age of the Raja, India’s affinity with
Rolls-Royce
spanned five decades, during which 840 unique models were purchased.
With the reveal of the Maharaja Phantom Drophead Coupe, the British
luxury automobile manufacturer has announced a collection of bespoke
models are in the pipeline inspired by the Maharajas’ cars.
The first of
which has been created exclusively for customers in Dubai. The
one-of-a-kind model is two years in the making, and comes with a host of
unique touches. The exterior is finished in Carrara White with a
Peacock emblem – India’s national bird – completing the Emerald green
coachline. A retractable Deep
Green
hood tucks away to reveal a stunning wood decking and interior finished
in Creme light leather with Emerald Green accents complemented by
marquetry inlay. Peacock emblems appear embroidered on the headrests in
Cobalto blue and Emerald Green, as well as stitched on the armrests,
with a Bespoke Maharaja Peacock clock rounding off the unique
flourishes.
