Pushing the car even further.
The Lotus Exige V6 Cup was already at the forefront of the motorsports game and was more than capable of slicing up any track with surgical precision. But Lotus Motorsport is taking the car to the next level of performance with the new Lotus Exige 360 Cup, limited to just 50 units.
The new Lotus Exige 360 Cup is lighter and more powerful than ever, and can be had in Metallic White, Metallic Grey, Metallic Black, or Metallic Silver with a Stealth Matte Black roof, front access panel, and tailgate.
“The V6 Cup was a favorite amongst many knowledgeable customers with its incredible track performance and distinctive design,” said Jean-Marc Gales, CEO of Group Lotus plc. “I am excited about the introduction of the new 360 Cup which moves the game forward with striking new design features and performance upgrades that offer phenomenal ability on road and track.”
The supercharged, Toyota-sourced 3.5-liter V-6 engine got a bump of 10 metric horsepower, leading to its ‘360’ name for the amount of power it produces. The additional power comes as a result of a freer flowing intake system and a sports exhaust that emits a more exciting note on the track. When combined with the 2,491 lb. weight, the Lotus Exige 360 Cup becomes exceptionally quick and nimble.
The Lotus Exige 360 Cup also comes with the aerodynamic package from the Exige V6 Cup car that includes a front splitter, rear diffuser, and rear wing spoiler along with a flat underbody. These components create 93 lbs. of downforce at 100 mph, keeping the lightweight track star sticking to the asphalt. Bespoke components such as the lightweight front access panel, lightweight rear tailgate, and louvered panel help keep weight to a minimum. The Lotus Exige 360 Cup also comes standard with new grooved brake discs, Motorsport Red wheels, and embroidered seats and dashboard paneling.
Beneath the sheetmetal, the lightweight bonded aluminum chassis cuts through corners thanks to the double-wishbone setup with two-way adjustable suspension to give drivers greater control. A four-dynamic mode (drive, sport, race, off) system with launch control allows drivers varying levels of electronic aids.
Customers can option their Lotus Exige 360 Cup with adjustable anti-roll bars, Ohlins race dampers, FIA carbon seats, a removable steering wheel, air conditioning, fire extinguisher, electrical cut-off, and red alcantara upholstery.
Only 50 examples of the Lotus Exige 360 Cup will be available through the Lotus dealership network with prices starting at £62,995 (MSRP) including a 20-percent tax. The car will also be eligible for the Lotus Cup racing series.
