On the back of the facelifted BMW 3-Series recently debuting, the 2016 Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo has just been unveiled.
As you’d expect, the new D3 Bi-Turbo features all the small styling changes adopted by the refreshed 3-Series. Consequently, a new front bumper has been installed alongside a subtlety tweaked front kidney grille and new headlights. Additionally, new taillights are featured.
Alpina’s D3 Bi-Turbo is distinguished from the standard 3-Series thanks to a bespoke front splitter, side skirts, tightly-spoked wheels, a large bootlid lip spoiler and custom rear bumper. In the cabin, the 2016 D3 Bi-Turbo comes standard with cruise control and park distance control features alongside the expansive Storage Package.
Beneath the skin, the 2016 Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.0-litre straight-six engine delivering 345 hp and 516 lb-ft of torque. All told, the D3 Bi-Turbo sedan will accelerate to 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds and a 276 km/h top speed while the D3 Bi-Turbo Touring will also reach the 100 km/h mark in 4.6 seconds and 274 km/h.
For customers looking for some extra versatility, the 2016 Alpina D3 Bi-Turbo Touring can be ordered with all-wheel drive.
