The
911 range has so many different editions and variant, there really is
something for every taste. If we were to pick our most favorite among
all those models, we’d have to go with Porsche 911 Sport Classic from
the 997 generation because, as a wise but very slow man once said, it is
like the 911 Greatest Hits.
Sadly Porsche only made 250 Sport Classic
997s and they are, naturally, among the most sough after modern classic
991s. So prices are heart-stoppingly high. Still, should you decide you
fancy one enough to blow up all your savings on it, a pretty good
Porsche 911 Sport Classic has become available at Hoefnagels showroom in the Netherlands.
As for what makes a Porsche 911 Sport
Classic so desirable, as mentioned it boasts some of the best features
of new and old 911s. Up front, for example, you get the same headlight
bezel as the Porsche 911 Turbo RSR from 1974. Then we have the ‘ducktail’
rear spoiler reminiscent of that made famous by the 1973 Carrera RS 2.7
and iconic ‘Fuchs-style’ design of the special custom-made alloy
wheels.
Finished in Classic Grey with an interior
in Espresso Nature, this Porsche 911 Sport Classic has around 40K
kilometers on the clock of its 3.8 liter flat-six engine. Naturally, the
car is loaded with such comfort and connivence features as were
available back when it was launched.
