Nissan announced the official pricing for the new 2017 GT-R Premium, the first of four grade levels
to be launched in mid-July. That makes the 2017 Nissan GT-R Premium the
base model and yet it cost $109,990. This car is no longer a giant
slayer. It’s become a giant itself.
Remember back when they pitched the GT-R
as the performance bargain of the century? The soon figured they were
charging way too little for what the car offered in terms of power and
performance and kept bumping it with every new model. That brings us to
the 110 grand 2017 Nissan GT-R Premium and its 565 horsepower engine,
its supposedly refined interior, enhanced ride comfort and advanced
technology.
That’s the suggested manufacturer’s price
that 110 grand, mind you. By the time this thing arrives in the
showroom and the dealer adds his cut and the shipping company add
theirs, the end user could end up paying well into 120s, and I’m sorry,
but that kind of money can get you much nicer stuff than a GT-R. You can
get a pretty well-specced 911 for that, or one of AMG’s high-powered
luxury models.
Still, should you decided the 2017 Nissan
GT-R Premium is the car for you, the list of kit you get with this trim
level include items such as semi-aniline leather in Rakuda Tan, Amber
Red and Ivory, NissanConnectSM with Navigation, Mobile Apps and
Services, Active Noise Cancellation and Active Sound Enhancement
technologies as well as acoustic glass and targeted sound dampening
features.
