Single Owner Porsche Carrera GT Expected To Sell For Over $850,000

While being outperformed by modern day supercars, the Porsche Carrera GT rightfully remains one of the best and most desirable cars ever produced.
Launched in the same year as the Ford GT, Ferrari Enzo and Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, the Carrera GT is unique as it utilises a race-derived 5.7-liter V10 engine, known for being one of the best sound production engines ever created.
While prices of the limited-run Enzo have sky-rocketed in recent years, Carrera GT's have largely failed to break the $1 million barrier and later today, one particularly stunning example will be sold by RM Sotheby's.
The German supercar is expected to fetch between $850,000 and $925,000 and is a 2005 example. Impressively, it has only had one owner since new and been driven fewer than 1,600 miles in over ten years. It recently underwent a $24,000 service courtesy of Paul Miller Porsche in New Jersey and will be sold with the original books, two keys, a valet key and the optional seven-piece luggage set sold new with the car.
The interior of the car is just as stunning as the silver exterior with it combining dark red leather across the seats, dashboard, transmission tunnel and steering wheel. There are also a number of carbon fiber components and of course, the iconic wooden shift knob.
