Cadillac
announced a host of upgrades for their two best-selling four-door sedan
models in the American market. The changes are mostly cosmetic, but
both ATS and CTS benefit from new features and equipment, plus value-added packages, as well.
In terms of design, the 2017 Cadillac CTS
comes with a new grille design in the front fascia and an all-new rear
fascia with vertical exhaust orientation and new rear valence. The car
also gets a Carbon Black sport package, two new exterior colors and new
wheels. As for the new equipment, Rear Camera Mirror and updated
Cadillac CUE infotainment with standard myCadillac Mobile App and Teen
Driver and Cadillac Collection are among the main highlights.
The 2017 Cadillac ATS, meanwhile, remains
unchanged in appearance but it gets a fully loaded Cadillac CUE
infotainment system (standard on the Turbo variants of both coupe and
sedan models) featuring Apple CarPlay and Android Auto advanced
smartphone integration and available 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot. The revised
and simplified trim levels for this car now goes as ATS, Luxury, Premium
Luxury and Premium Performance.
The trim level for the 2017 CTS looks
like CTS, Luxury, Premium Luxury, V-Sport and V-Sport Premium. The new
nomenclature is supposed to help customers choose the car that best
suits the need more easily. If you want comfort you go for Luxury. If
you want fun you go V-Sport. And if you want comfort and fun you go
V-Sport Premium.
