Along with the Mustang Rocket,
Henrik Fisker and his new partners at Galpin Auto Sports also unveiled a
new concept car called Aston Martin Thunderbolt. This Vanquish-based
concept is an artistic take on Aston’s flagship model and it is more a
touch-up, if we’re honest, than a full coach-build affair.
Henrik Fisker, for those of you who
are not familiar with him, is an automotive visionary. He started out in
this business as a car designer, penning some of the most amazing cars
of all time such for brands like BMW and Aston Martin.
Earlier this century he decided to go
solo and started making one-off custom models for millionaires, which
went well enough for him to step things up and enter the world of car
making by establishing Fisker Automotive. That, as everybody knowns,
didn’t go so well.
Fisker is now working with GAS to
make highly customized versions of popular cars, as we saw with their
rocket. As for the Aston Martin Thunderbolt Concept, the designer has
modified a number of styling elements in the Vanquish to arrive at this,
including the bumpers, front grille, bonnet, rear apron and taillights.

No doubt the Thunderbolt looks a lot more
exquisite than the Vanquish, and a lot more luxurious, too. Inside the
cabin it features an 11.6-inch Panasonic Curved Control Screen and
Natuzzi Italian leather upholstery. You even get a pair of artsy bottle
holders between the back seats, encouraging you to drink and drive!
Other highlights of Fisker’s Aston Martin
Thunderbolt include a unique watch on the dash, lowered ride height,
21-inch wheels, and a number of different front grilles. They say this
car is purely a design study, but GAS can make you one if you come up
with a sufficiently large check.
